Bind Google Authenticator
Here is a general guide on how you can bind Google Authenticator to your FuturesCash account.
Download the Google Authenticator App
If you haven’t already, Click on the provided button to download the Google Authenticator app. Install it on your device from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
For Android: Google Authenticator on Google Play Store
For iOS: Google Authenticator on Apple App Store
Open FuturesCash Security Settings
Log into your FuturesCash account, navigate to the ‘Profile’ and find ‘Security’ settings, and look for the two-factor authentication (2FA) section.
Understand the Importance of 2FA
Two-factor authentication provides an additional layer of security for your account. While SMS verification can be a useful tool, it’s susceptible to various risks, including SIM swapping. Google Authenticator is a more secure option, as it generates unique codes directly on your device, reducing the risk of interception.
Enable Google Authenticator
Click on the option to enable Google Authenticator. A secret key should appear.
Open Google Authenticator
On your device, open the Google Authenticator app and click on the ‘+’ button. Click Manually enter the provided key
Enter the Key
Choose ‘Enter a provided key’, manually type in the secret key displayed on your FuturesCash account.
Enter the Code
Google Authenticator will now begin generating a six-digit code for your FuturesCash account. Enter your FuturesCash account password, email verification code, and the six-digit Google Authenticator code to confirm and complete setup.
Complete the Binding Process
Once you’ve entered the code, click to confirm. You’ve now completed the binding process and Google Authenticator is set up for your FuturesCash account.
Remember, the six-digit code on your Google Authenticator app refreshes every 30 seconds. Whenever you log into FuturesCash, you will be asked to enter the current code displayed on the app in addition to your username and password.
By using Google Authenticator instead of SMS verification, you are adding an extra layer of security to your account, helping keep your assets safe.
